30 minutes old

This wee chick had only just broken out of it's egg minutes before this was taken while it was being moved into an incubator. I've never seen a chick hatching until today. It's a remarkable process, and the chick inside the egg is so curled up, it's an incredible bit of packaging.
And with that, its holiday over, and back to work on a Bank Holiday...oh lucky me.
