Soup Kitchen
Our first gig of the year watching the lovely Jolie Holland and Samantha Parton in the intimate 100 person basement of Manchester's Soup Kitchen - the 'S' comes from their neon sign. 
You might not have heard of Jolie Holland before but you might recognise her music as it's often used in US TV shows and films especially her previous band the Be Good Tanyas (Sam Parton also being an ex member).
If you want to hear what their music is like now have a listen to Cerys Matthew's BBC 6 Music show last Sunday - they were in session (around the 2 hour mark).
