The biological food chain
Never took much notice of spiders and their capabilities until I saw this. This spider found a big long-legged fly caught by a single leg in its web. At the time of the photo, the spider was on the fly's body while the fly tried desperately to wriggle free. Afterwards, the spider proceeded to spin some more webbing (I witnessed the amazing firing of the webbing) to entangle the fly's wings and other legs. Truly amazed by something so simple.
Rather morbid I know but stunning nevertheless.
