Honourably placed.
I was volunteering at church today, and it was really quiet until about 1 o'clock. The regular organist, called John, was meeting a man called Dorian, who will stand in for him when he is on holiday, and John, just wanted to show him the ropes, so to speak. While we were waiting, John was telling us what happened at the service on Sunday. As he was parking his car, he saw three young, scruffy men outside the church. During the service, the congregation went up to the altar. to take part in communion. When one of the parishioners got back to her seat, her purse had been stolen. The three guys, were sitting at the back of the church, and one of them had taken communion. As soon as the service was over, the lady, and her husband, went over to the police station to report the theft. Later that afternoon, John's son, who is a police sergeant, phoned him to tell him they had arrested the men, and one of them had £120 on him. Apparently , he had only been released from prison the day before. He was back in court on Monday, and charged with theft, and the lady will get her money back. When Dorian turned up, he started to play some wonderful tunes on the organ. Isn't that a perfect name for an organ player? He does organ recitals all over the country. So, another day with a difference!
