Aerial Shenanigans
Another lovely sunset here this afternoon, but the aerial is the story of the day. I've been having increasingly bad tv reception since mid December, losing the signal completely quite frequently. So far the aerial engineer has tried manually tuning the tv to a transmitter, changing the aerial, changing the amplifier, adding a gizmo to stop 4G interference, none of which have worked. Today he pointed the aerial in a different direction to that in the picture, to the transmitter with the strongest signal. This happens to be in Yorkshire, so I won't be able to get Look East. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have worked either, so it could be atmospheric conditions. The next steps would be to raise the aerial higher, then to try to install Freesat (evidently the cabling might be a problem.
Today the signal went towards the end of the live broadcast of the inauguration of President Trump.............no comment!!!
