All change in the US
N.B. PHOTO TAKEN OF MY TV SCREENI'm not going to comment, as I don't know anything much about American politics. However, Obama seemed like a genuine intelligent and caring, well liked individual. I liked him. This man is not Obama, and resembles a cartoon character. He seems to conduct his affairs through twitter, and some unsavoury accusations were made in the run up to his election victory. Yet the American people voted for him to be their president. I really hope it all works out. It is an extremely powerful position. As Mollie hopes to spend some time in America this year, I hope it isn't made difficult for visitors. It was sad to watch Obama leaving, and this man 'replacing' him. Strange things are happening in this world.
I've done a morning at work, then Mollie and I have driven down to Manda's. The road was ridiculously slow, and we sat on the A11 hardly moving for 30 minutes. Anyway, we have enjoyed Manda's company while drinking tea and watching this inauguration unfolding on her giant tv. Have briefly spent time with Iona, Hayden and Cameron, between their extra curricula activities! Hope to see them all again later on. Manda is kindly giving us a bed for the night and tomorrow we are heading up to London.
