Trinity Great Gate.

Trinity college, Cambridge was founded by Henry  VIII in 1546. It was built around a great court. A statue of the founder, stands in a niche above the main doorway. The King is holding a table leg in his right hand, instead of a sword. It is not known when the switch came about or by whom. As it was late afternoon and the light was not too good, I will try and get a close up of it another time.
