My Life With Luna

Resident Swans at Needham Lake

I walked round Needham Lake this afternoon and was surprised to see that almost the entire lake was frozen over.   On Tuesday afternoon it was partially frozen so the sharp frosts we've had over the last few nights/days have had an impact.
The swans are in a tiny area of water by the feeding area.   A lady goes there every day at about four o'clock with a bag of wheat that all the wildfowl enjoy.   The swans especially seem to enjoy taking it from the water.    In the foreground you can see some of the wheat still laying on the ice.
