London Town
The sun was setting over the Thames as I made my way home from an Alzheimer's Society training day. The day was cut short by a fire drill which impressed me not at all. We had to walk down five flights of stairs, with no visible means of assistance for anyone who was not able-bodied. Having hung around for about fifteen minutes in the freezing cold we all trooped back indoors again, with no clear official permission to go back inside and no attempt to check names against the signing in book. in fact, our little group were just told to push off home and not bother to climb up to the conference room for the final twenty minutes. I wouldn't like to be caught up in a real fire in that building . .
