Pink Gift

My neighbor and good friend Danny came by today and brought me two camellia blooms from the bush in his yard. He has the green thumb and takes care of my home and plants when I am away for a long time.  

 He said the buds were all over the bush when we had a little bit of freezing weather come through a week or so ago so he draped old sheets over the bush and secured them with clothespins, leaving the sheets on the bush for 3 days.   When he removed the sheets, the buds were fine and started blooming as our weather warmed up.  Normally   the blooms come early and then are lost to frost   but this time he said they were all healthy and beautiful.

I am so glad he shared them with me!
