So nothing happened to prevent the inauguration. From left to right; the tops of the yucca have snapped off, (out of shot) a fallen olive branch teeters on the top of the wall suspended only by vicious thorny ivy, the bougainvillea has been re-staked and is no longer lying flat across the ground, the nasturtiums are pale and flaccid, the pink-flowering glossy evergreen climber has turned shit-brown and the jasmine has lost every single leaf.
