Waiting, but not for long.

Sam spent the morning in hospital.  Arriving at 7.30 and under general anesthetic by 8.45 to have a stone removed from his left ear.  On the 4th of January, Sam decided to "find out what happens" if he put a stone in his ear.  He found out...  It got stuck! So 2 and a half weeks later and after trips to our local A and E, Hull Royal's A and E, Hull Royal's ENT department and finally a general anesthetic in day surgery at Hull Royal, the stone is gone.  Phew!  The photo is of Sam as he was waiting to be called in to be anesthetised.  He was incredibly good about the needle, despite my worries and earned himself a bag of sweets when he came around afterward.  Lesson learned: Don't stick things in your ears!

The extra is a photo of the stone.  We did ask if he could keep it but they said he wasn't allowed and that it had to be disposed of.
