Now We See Through a Glass Darkly

The medical bulletin issued today and posted on the Dower House railings states that His Lordship had a good night after being told that, although aggressive and debilitating, his symptoms were the common aftermath of a cold virus  currently doing the rounds.
He remains hopefully of a early betterment for the cough which has the potential to strike fear of the plague's return into any gathering he inhabits.
The bulletin was signed by the  resident nurse in the Dower House.

The lighter mornings have been slow to return these dark January days, especially when we in the Central Belt have been cocooned under a thick cloud cover, and today was little different. Nevertheless it was a surprise when, with the light came a thick mist reducing visibility to a hundred yards. As it began to lift I blipped the ghostly figures of the children in football training across the Meadows.
