A huge V-formation of migrating greylag geese flew over the house today, honking loudly and travelling at an impressive speed.  By the time I had the camera out they had passed over and broken up the formation, re-forming as they sped away.

Still, there's something very thrilling about the sight and sound of wild geese in flight.
