The Wassailing Band

This afternoon was the Wassailing for Oswestry Heritage Railway's Community Orchard. It was a freezing cold, foggy day but the apple trees were duly blessed in traditional style (though a much quieter and more laid-back affair than last Saturday's event).

There were nine musicians to play tunes (the blip shows a few of them) and we all sang Wassailing songs. We also put ribbons around the trees to give good wishes for a successful apple harvest .
