Emergency fruit blip after a day of apocalytic weather. The orange-faced one has a lot to answer for. A nine-hour power cut to the northeast coast left us without electricity until 10pm, so packing for my trip to Blighty tomorrow had to be abandoned till the morning. There's only so much you can do by candlelight. Also just heard that the electric supplier has plans to up the tariffs by a third.....
