Fabric!

More sewing clearance today - I have spent far too long trying to sort out the buttons - in the end I've just put the same colours in separate bags.

Onto fabrics ..  Mum made many of our clothes (sewing and knitting) and much later in life she confessed she only did it because she thought it was expected of her - she didn't enjoy it at all - she was good at it though.

In her hoarding way she of course kept many off cuts of fabric - which made me quite nostalgic, though my blip is a fabric I don't remember from my childhood at all. 1950s I should think - and it looks like mum bought enough to buy kitchen curtains. I'll be hanging on to this piece, I love it :)
