Trying to be patient

but this blooming onion bloom is taking its time!  It has been about 10 days since I posted the first photo of the bud, and it has grown about 7 or 8 inches longer in the stem but the bloom is not ready to open except that one tiny flower.   It should have many of these open at one time, I hope!    I did give it some plant food and decided I may need to water it a little more or mist it with the spray bottle every day as it has a long way to get moisture to travel to the flowers.

It is a strange little plant but worth the wait for the blossom.
