Brilliant weather but change of plans due to a strange happening .However all happens for the good as plan B was Kladow .A good portion of the Wannsee was very frozen and quite thick in parts .As the BVG Boat arrived it acted as an ice breaker and had to take great care docking . The sound of breaking ice and sight of so many birds on slabs of ice was rather wonderful .Here's a collage .A video will take a while  Top left is the protected island and you can see the slabs of ice .Top right is the Grünewald Turm built in 1897.At 55m high it's a memorial to Kaiser Wilhelm I. Well worth visiting . Bottom left I really am uncertain .Rather large for an Egret, all white and not a heron . In the video it's caught in flight Finally one of my friendly crows came to say goodbye. They had to contend with the seagulls competition but all got enough . A day to remember ...
