A year with my camera: Aperture

I was able to do my aperture practical homework today :)

Top image 55mm F36
Bottom image 55mm F5.6

I now understand that large aperture (low F number/stop thingy) translates to small depth of field and this is what brings the image in the foreground into sharp focus and blurs the background. And small aperture (large number/stop thingy) translates to large depth of field bringing the whole of the area into focus.
