The Big Stink

Something approximately the size of a hippopotamus* has decided that the ideal place to expire and decompose is in the wall between our basement and kitchen.  The smell is overwhelmingly disgusting -- sort of like a diaper pail long past due for emptying, combined with freshly sliced durian.  How lucky we are!
