Live Aid

This has pretty much been the sound-track to my day. Stuck on DVD 1 of this box set whilst doing my ironing this morning and I've pretty much been a lazy so-and-so, watching through the set.  I remember at the time this was brought out, there were unfathomable images on TV of the horrors which the poorest people on earth had to deal with.  If I had the money when I was younger, I was all for going somewhere where I could help.  I could not bear the thought of all those people dying due to malnutrition and drought, yet here and in other countries we have so much food waste it's unbelievable. Wide-eyed starving, diseased babies who died within minutes of being filmed. Broke my heart then and still does now.  I never fulfilled that idea to help out but maybe someday. Sadly, the world seems to be in no better place now as it was then.
