first new tree

the first new tree has been planted in the wood - does not look like much yet!  It is a wild cherry (Prunus avium) and should grow to flower beside the sign at the entrance of the wood..  The flowers are great for early nectar and pollen and the berries for birds and small mammals, the beauty is for me.
