Summer on Arran

Perhaps a slightly misleading term, but technically it is still August. Horrible ferry crossing, including getting completely soaked all down my left side by a wave high enough to go right across the ferry, as I was standing dead centre at the front of the boat, planning to take a photo with the flag at the prow. Thankfully I hadn't had time to get the camera out. Nice to be back, and to have seen old friend from my days in Russia all in the one day! Took this along the shore when taking the dog out briefly. She's a bit of wimp about long walks when the wind is strong enough to blow her off her feet, which I can probably just about understand.
