It's tulip time

Yesterday I treated myself to two bunches of tulips. When I left the house this morning, the buds were tightly closed and I planned to photograph them like that. By lunchtime, the flowers were opening. I think they are beautiful.

We had a committe this morning, during which time the booking for the Walking Festival opened. We have never had such good booking on the first morning before. Absolutely amazing. Every walk has at least one person booked and 300 walks were booked overall.

This afternoon, Mum was released from hospital. She was more tired today, having not slept well last night. The ward had been quiet, but very hot. She is now in her own bed and has eaten a meal prepared by my own fair hands!

Good to have her home..
