Darwen Tower

Had a great day out in Manchester. The rain was again bouncing down when I left home, but once I'd got past Blackburn, the sun came out and the weather got progressively better into the city centre.

I had wanted to get a blip from the pride festivities, but we didn't have tickets so access was denied to Canal St.

So instead, here is Darwen Tower and the surrounding vista. It never ceases to amaze me that for such an industrialised region as ours, one never needs to travel too far to find greenery.
