Waiting for spring

This leaf is just hanging in there, waiting for spring and the new shoots to come through. Spring seems noticeably delayed around here, this time last year the crocuses and snowdrops were already blooming - now they are still short stems just pushing through the fallen leaves.

I have had a super efficient day today - I had so much admin to do with a long list and I did it all today. I banked all the cheques from the four events I am running this term (after typing up all the cheque details per event which the bank really appreciate), confirmed and paid the costs of the events I am running this term, and booked two new events for next term. I finished editing all the photos from yesterday, put them on a flash drive and posted that off to the client.

While I was at the post office I also returned the photo book I made for Thomas' birthday. While I, and he, were delighted with the photo book, after we received it I noticed two errors - one being the mis-spelling of our surname which is in the title on the cover of the book - how stupid is that? When I finished the book I asked Gavin to check all the spellings but somehow that one was missed. I spoke to the photo book company today and they said I can send it back, and they would issue a credit note and then I can re-order it again once I have corrected the typos - what amazing service from them, especially as it is my/Gavin's fault that there were typos in the text. I am so pleased about this as it was a very expensive book being 70 pages long in the XXL landscape size.

I also did some grocery shopping and am about to go make supper - haddock with chorizo and cannellini beans - yummy!
