Glorious Day.
Brilliant sunny day here illuminating the 2nd White Amaryllis spike. Such a satisfying day : met with a pal for a 10am cuppa ( I'm trying to like green tea, cos it's good for me ), then bank and using their phone for ages ( glad it wan't mine ) as I went from home insurance to travel insurance and back again as I tried to get mac covered for travelling. Did it at last. Treat of a Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel, then a very tough Pilates session, ( a level up from the group I usually do), so I could get to a 2pm encore screening of the wonderful RSC, Simon Russell Beale's Tempest. OOOOH, haven't visual affects gone up a whole new notch. Ariel was breathtaking with lots of avatars activated by the Ariel actor. Central Norwich had a whole row of tiny power cuts ( Blimey ), that cut the screening. Even that didn't detract from a totally magical production.
Gregory Doran talked in the interval about the coming new productions : Julius Cesar, Anthony and Cleopatra, ect. All about Politics, Power Control. So needed he said in this time of Brexit, Putin, Trump : good eh!.
Did any of you hear Deborah Lipstadt on Woman's Hour talking about the coming film Denial ?. Perhaps the gods are with us after all darlings.
