Feeding Frenzy!!

It was a miserable day here today, as I think it was in most parts of the country, so I was a bit unsure what direction to take in terms of today's blip.

Went to make a cup of tea and was amazed to see a host of sparrows braving the rain to grab a mid-morning bite, so I quickly grabbed my camera to capture the chaos.

You can probably see crumbs falling from the cage and, in addition to the sparrows, there were starlings, pigeons and crows on the ground below taking full advantage of this manna from above.

Have seen the occasional glimpse of more colourfull varieties but, in the meantime, it's just great to see so many birds in and around the garden.
