In the woods

I had to make a trip over to Bedford today so on the way back I had a short walk in one of my old stomping grounds - Aspley Heath on the Greensand Ridge. These woods, dominated by Scots pine and other conifers, are so different in character to the Chilterns woods I now frequent - more expansive, sombre and brooding. I wanted to capture something of this, helped by some lingering mist.
