A tit called Monet
Sis and I headed to Old Moor RSPB reserve this afternoon. We didn't really set off too early so arrived around lunchtime. We had a walk around taking lots of photos and then headed back to the cafe for a hot chocolate (much needed!) before heading into the cafe we went to the hide that looks out on the bird feeders. This hide is guaranteed to provide a shot of a bird (just in case you didn't get any outside on the wetlands) Today didn't disappoint :-) This wee long tailed tit arrived at the feeders. My shot of him wasn't the best but all I've done is crop and sharpen a bit - not sure where the blue tinges have come from but reminded me of a Monet!
As we were about to head off to another part of the reserve the lady in the centre asked if we were staying for the murmuration - we said we hadn't planned on it but since there was going to be one we might just hang around :-). It was A's first murmuration so she was excited. My shots are rubbish so not worth blipping. Trevorearthy's are much better up in Gretna!
