Hansel & Gretel

My mum and dad were up today to celebrate the older two boys birthdays.

They just missed out on watching the older one shave 2 minutes of his PB for 400m free style at his clubs mix up meet, but arrived in time to meet the middle one after the first football training session of the new year.

Later in the afternoon, after lunch and after a browse of the local shoe shops for my mum and I, we had a trip to the river and the park.

In the evening I went to see the Scottish Ballet's performance of Hansel & Gretel at His Majesty's Theatre with my American pal and her two girls, for birthday treats. It was beautiful and captivating and in parts just a little bit gruesome.
