Day 239
Rain, rain and more rain. Plan A today was Clitheroe Castle, but we had to cancel that (for the third time). Plan B was a fun day on the East Lancs Railway, but we had to cancel that. So we had to go with plan C, which was a trip to the Manchester Museum.
It's a fantastic place with so much to see, including a T-Rex skeleton named Stan (which H obviously loves!), and it's in a really beautiful building which is part of the university. And, of course, it's absolutely free, which always amazes me as it really is a wonderful place. We had a lovely day. This photo is one of the halls in the museum that houses lots of stuffed animals, (including a polar bear, birds of prey and a leopard) and animal skeletons including an elephant and the thing suspended from the ceiling in this shot, which is the skeleton of a whale.
We then decided to treat ourselves to a meal out at our favourite Italian restaurant in Ramsbottom to round off a lovely bank holiday weekend.
I hope everyone else has had a great weekend and hasn't let the rain ruin things too much :)
