The King Alfred

Mega thanks to all of you for being so kind to my robin yesterday.  I've told him he should doff his hat and sweep you a bow ;)

Last Sunday I lunched at the King Alfred with my big sis for the first time since it's re-fit under new owners.  Today I went back for lunch with my little sis.  It's lovely and relaxed - a bit Edwardian, a bit quirky - and they don't mind if you sit here all afternoon.  Quite right too!

That knocked a big hole in my day, but I did also grapple with online forms and a press release for the choir, as we've just given big donations to a couple of local charities.  I seem to have managed to scrub quite a lot off my to-do list as well, which is always a good feeling.  I'm now looking forward to a chilled evening.
