Curlew

Photo taken on walk between Fairhaven Lake and and St Anne's pier. The wind was bitterly cold. 

Yesterday,  I missed a chance to get a photo of a beautiful barn owl. It was sat on a fence post at the side of the road, but in my eagerness to jump out of the car,  I bashed my cheek and eye on the edge of the door. The bird remained, for a little while,  on the fence post about 10 ft away but I was in too much pain to focus on it properly.
