OneTree #8

After days and days of thick fog the sun made a very brief appearance late this afternoon (4.35pm) just as I happened to be passing OneTree. By coincidence I've just been asked to put gouge to lino again and contribute a new print to Lewes Printmakers next collection of woodcuts and linoprints which is going to be on the theme of trees in Lewes. It won't be published until 2018 so plenty of time to choose an interesting one. The most famous tree in Lewes is probably the mulberry in Southover Grange, believed to have been planted at least 350 years ago it is one of the oldest in England. I shall spend the next a few weeks staring at trees in Lewes.
