Demarest NJ Irain Station
Built in the 1870s for the Northern RR of NJ later a branch of the Erie RR. Until the early 50s an active commuter line from Jersey City to Nyack NY connecting with the original Erie main line in Piermont. There are three architectural stations remaining and preserved in Englewood, Tenafly, and Demarest. There is some hope that these stations will again see trains as there is discussion of extending the Bergen-Hudson light rail at least to Tenafly.
