There's gold in that there river..

The Arrow River flows past Brin's humpy.

It was an important place in the great Otago Gold Rush of the 1860's.    Many Chinese workers came here to work on the diggings, and many of them lie in the local cemetery.    Today, they have been replaced by Chinese tourists.

You can still buy little phials of gold from the river in the local shops.   I won't bother.
