Watching the tide roll away

After spending yesterday with Lucie and her Mum and Dad, helping her to celebrate her first birthday , we spent the day in the Morecambe bay and Arnside area. The light in the winter sun, on that west coast was beautiful this morning, though it faded a bit this afternoon. We went to Leighton Moss bird reserve but it was so cold and we didn't wait around to see the starling murmurations.
