Pineapple

We went to a friend's house to exchange plants, and she has 6 pineapple plants, two of which have pineapples. We start these by rooting the tops of the fruits and then planting that. This one also has sprouts coming out underneath (I've not seen these before), and she said commercial growers plant the sprouts, which greatly speeds up the growing process.
