RAILWAY STATION

Its been freezing cold all day - temp never got above zero. Had a quiet morning at home then this afternoon I got the bus to Dunston.  Got some shopping in Aldi and then called in to see Neil at work. He wasn't there.  He had gone home for his dinner.  So I just sat and waited until he got back. He is looking forward to jetting off to Amsterdam tomorrow with around 20 of his friends for a stag do.  His friend Jon is getting married next month ( in Las Vegas ). Tomorrow they are all dressing up as wrestlers.  Neil will be Bret " The Hitman " Hart.  He showed me a photo of himself wearing his outfit.  Not a pretty sight.

My blip shot shows the railway station in Dunston.  It serves the Tyne Valley line from Newcastle to Carlisle. The station first opened in 1909.  It closed down in 1926 but was re-opened in 1982.
