baby ringneck snake

while we were having our coffee out on the deck this morning, D. went out the screen door and found this little baby sleeping under the door. Luckily, I had time to run for the camera and got a couple quick shots before it warmed up/ woke up in his hand and then shot between the boards of the deck. It had a beautiful bright yellow-orange belly.

I had gotten way behind on my blipping, with camping trip, holiday shopping, etc and the longer it went, the more time I Knew I'd need to get it caught up again.
I'VE NOW BACK-BLIPPED A DOZEN DAYS THAT I DID GET PHOTOS, PLEASE GO BACK AND CHECK THEM OUT. Sorry I wasn't on to comment, I'll try to start catching up on that, too!! :-)
