Fred Trueman

On a bit of a Freddie Trueman trip at the moment - I listened to him not long ago on the Desert Island Disc archive and then found this (remaindered) autobiography... His photo and his way of speaking always remind me of my dad, and indeed he was some sort of remote cousin. It suddenly occurs to me you might not know who he was: 'one of the greatest fast-bowlers in history ' (as in cricket) a Yorkshire man and a family hero.
