Falls and locks

Another beautiful, although cold, sunny day.  Woke up refreshed after our dancing last evening.  Walked for an hour down at Rouken Glen.  They have built some new walkways which allows for a rather pleasant plod around, finishing up at the waterfall and the pond.

At the waterfall there is a new phenomenon......love locks......I first saw these in Verona in Italy, and it seems to be becoming a fashion here too!.  I read some of those inscribed, some appeared to be in memoriam and some were love locks.  I remember that in Verona they were discouraging the habit on the very old bridges, because the weight of so many is damaging the bridges.

There is not, I think, any problem here as this is just a wooden fence, which could if necessary be easily replaced......
