another butterfly
...we took a short break from work to get some fresh air and a blip. Our first stop was Studland Heath, where I very nearly succeeded in my planned objective. I have been trying to get some snake shots for ages and we were delighted when a large silver and black male adder swam through the heather and crossed our path. I was able to follow its progress for a short distance but failed to get any images.
As nothing further presented itself, we went back to the part of Godlingston Heath where all the butterflies are currently hanging out and selected this Red Admiral Vanessa atalanta as today's image...
