Bushy Park
It was a very cold and very foggy, but atmospheric morning. We went for a walk and enjoyed the varied wildlife in Bushy Park. The ponds were almost all frozen and it was a hoot watching the birds skitting about on the ice. The swans were very adept at crunching through the ice with their chests. we saw ducks, moorhens, swans, several heron - one of which just posed for minutes on end - and we were startled by a deer who suddenly appeared behind us. Luckily I managed a good photo of him as he trotted up the path to us. It's amazing to see all this in central London.
Then it was off to my Dad's to prepare a Burns supper (we brought a large haggis with us). My son and his girlfriend joined us.
