Above the Clouds

Another wonderful days hiking, starting in the beautiful mountain village of Tejeda and walking up the barranco of Tejeda to La Culata. A bit of light refreshment and lively conversation with some walkers we met before continuing along the almond and aloe edged pathway around the mountain with views of Teide on Tenerife, there's an extra pic of the view. Towering above us was the Rocque de Nueblo, where we planned to be for the sunset but the mist was starting to roll in, would we or wouldn't we go. A faint glimpse of blue sky convinced us to go the extra kilometre on the chance that we would be above the mist. Which indeed we were it was utterly magical to be above the clouds as the sun was sinking!
