A Poor Turn-out!

It's such a long time since we've been out looking for starling murmurations so we thought we'd take The Bro-inLaw, kanyl, along with us to marvel at the magnificence of the free-to-view performance of thousands of birds!

It was not to be!

We knew from another blipper that starlings were active in Gretna and the vantage point for seeing them tonight was the North Car Park of the Retail Outlet. The starlings were concentrating their flight path above a residential area in Gretna.

There weren't very many birds, but suddenly several fireworks were let off! The birds scattered and we were left watching this very small flock. When their flight came to an end they dropped into the trees in the garden of the person with the fireworks.  "We shall not be moved" came to mind! 

So not really a murmur-ation, more a gentle whisper!
