Capileira

Sorry this photo is terrible, but it's the only one I took today, so ...

This morning we set off bright and early and drove up to Capileira, nearly 1,500m up in the Alpujarras. Here S met a sporty-looking mountain guide and after cafe con leche and giant pieces of toast (read: half a baguette each) with butter, set off with him and eight other people into the snowy peaks you can see in this photo. I finished my coffee in a more leisurely fashion and drove back down to the valley, where it was a warm sunny day again. S will be back tomorrow, with some great photos I hope as I lent him my little camera!
