Sticky Situation

The Ministry of Oil & Gas (there is a ministry for everything out here) has decided to stop all fuel deliveries for the next three days due to the GCC summit. Shell has kindly sent a letter recommending we stock up on fuel.

In addition, the main highway (the only means of getting anywhere) is to be closed during the same period.

Larissa has been given the rest of the week off work as the Sultan's School have applied a bit of logic and guessed that children aren't likely to turn up to school if the city is at a complete standstill.

Omanis are BRILLIANT at panic buying. At the moment, I'd rather sit and starve than compete with them for parking spaces and food although that may change come the morning!
